Respecting the Self Reflect Posted on June 15, 2021June 29, 2021 by MoveOverOptimist Posted in poetryTagged life, life lessons, love, photography, poem, poet, poetry, self love, self reflection Voices echo in my head– I believed I was lost… staggering up the shattered highway of what it cost– It couldn’t be any different than someone saying hi. I thought I wanted love– all the times I said goodbye. They chase– they catch… This game of mouse and cat– But this once tamed horse broke free… Imagine That! It’s all about the caged animal… That’s all they see in me– No more than just a figure– An escape from reality. With the strength of this force field they won’t feel the need to harm… The road I traveled– broken– was a lesson to keep at arms. Share this:TwitterFacebookLike Loading... Related
